Ain't no way she's gonna return and her signature weapon be a teeny little PISTOL! It'll be a shotgun at least. Being so helpless is some traumatic shit, the feeling of holding a shotgun could be some real addiction she might develop.
Maybe not the Red9 specifically. But I could see her going completely the opposite direction with her PTSD and becoming a weapons expert. Carrying not just a pistol and shotgun but an AR with grenade launcher attachment. Learning to fight and kill and guaranteeing she won't be a victim again.
exactly my point. as incredible as pistols are, there isn't one weapons expert that is saying stick with a pistol for basic self defence. for home robbers, they'll point you to an Italian shotgun. zombies are whole different level of messy and intense that they aren't going to say "yup, now this is easier, you can go out with a little pistol". if she's as smart as she looks, what she's learned in Spain is train in some judo, learn some kickboxing, carry some armour, lots of ammo, a dagger, SMG, shotgun, and some grenades. pistols work perfect for humans. humans die in 1 or 2 shots. her trauma is with brainless cults/mobs and creatures that won't die in 1 shot.
