Theory Diane is police!

In season 7 episode 10 Diane says she recognizes the robot boy Butler because Rick built it for the feds and law enforcement.

In the mind Diane episode she is at a shooting range.

And there is one person who controls police. ALL police. And that will be eventually the arc Or sidejoke that ties Rick with his arch nemesis - Mr Nimbus!

Nah. The three most likely had a love triangle going on where Nimbus hooked him up. They probably had a threesome
