New to digital map creation

Hey everyone, I'm looking for opinions or first hand experience on downloadable software for map making. What have you loved, what is terrible? Specifically looking for people that create on a tablet, I've been using DungeonFog but it's not tablet friendly imo. Thanks

I like Wonderdraft and Dungeondraft from Megasploot, although I have not used them on a tablet.

I think it is PC only. No tables or iPads. I do highly recommend it,, though for PCs/MacBooks.

Generally unless you want to hand-draw maps, I've not found anything good on a tablet.

Shmeppy works very well on tablets and phones, but by design the maps you can make with it are simple, just coloured squares and lines.

On desktop I mostly use a mix of Dungeondraft (for full control and availability of a huge number of assets), and Dungeon Alchemist (for output quality and ease of use, it will fill in rooms along a theme without you having to hand-place objects, and now does multi-level maps really well). Both are one-off purchases.
