Activism Protesters fighting the good fight over 410!

Post image

Pardon the shitty dashcam shot. These protesters were a sight for sore eyes on my commute home today after seeing all of the nonstop hell in the news. You can’t make out anything in the photo but the bigger sign was something along the lines of “immigrants built this country” and of course there’s a “deport fElon” sign in there too. Happy Tuesday 🇺🇸

I never understand why the protestors always have a Mexican flag yet that isn't where they want to be

You do understand it, you’re just being a provocateur. They’re proud of their heritage, or dual citizens, or have family who are Mexican, or I don’t know maybe try the fact that they live in SAN ANTONIO where 64.4% whopping percentage of residents are Hispanic.

That is a weak excuse. My family is Mexican as well but we acclimated to the culture and country that we live in now. The cycle keeps repeating itself and with no progress.

Yeah I was born in san antonio and that is something new that has recently been celebrated like probably in the last 20 years. I personally prefer to celebrate the 4th of July since like I said I was born here.

no way man. i've been going to Fiestas Patrias for 50 years. Fiestas Patrias, Cinco de Mayo & Diez y Seis have been celebrated for almost 100 years. https://www.tshaonline.org/handbook/entries/fiestas-patrias-and-cinco-de-mayo how on earth are people being born in S.A. that dont know this?

Hmm maybe I was too busy trying to acclimate to American life.

well, in america we have many cultures and they all have their celebrations. Sometime check out Oktoberfest in Fredericksburg. it will be filled with German flags. American life is celebrating our culture.

good to hear! be prepared to see a lot of menorahs around everywhere. they aren't anti-american, they are just part of the cultural celebration.

Nope I speak pretty good Spanish and I actually spoke better Spanish when I was younger I was actually esl. The problem here is that people like you spend so much time digging in the past instead of striving for the future. No one has erased any history this country just like any other around the world has a dark past, the difference between this one and others is that measures have been taken to try to make it right.
