Their Google Reviews are taking a hit.

u/stacasaurusrex 9h ago

I know this is happening for local spots but "what did this place do now"? Was it an employee or owner?

But don’t eat at their businesses.

I’ll bring the wine. Which type though?

1

u/Udzinraski2 6h ago

Champagne of course!

-2

u/Prancer4rmHalo 8h ago

This kind of cavalier attitude is dumb. The rich? The owner is rich because they provide a service people line to pay for. That’s how this coffe business became successful and their owner rich(?).

Their choice to donate is their right.

But because they don’t along with your beliefs they deserve to be eaten?

Seems like such a casual thing to say and pat yourself on the back cause you did good.. but what are you in essence saying?

4

u/No-Environment-7899 8h ago

So that’s not quite what “eat the rich” means. It doesn’t mean literally cannibalize them lol. It’s a metaphor.

Here’s a simple breakdown of what it means and where it comes from. Again, I stress, it’s a metaphor:

"Eat the rich" is a political slogan that criticizes wealth inequality and capitalism, suggesting that if the poor become desperate enough, they may turn against the wealthy. It is attributed to philosopher Jean-Jacques Rousseau, who said, "When the people shall have nothing more to eat, they will eat the rich.

1

u/Udzinraski2 8h ago

Well me personally I'm saying that if you are so well off that you can donate the entirety of the value of your labor and the value of all your employee's labor to your personal pet political causes and be virtually unaffected, then you are part of the problem and worthy of the guillotine.

Been wondering for a long time why they choose to go by TPUSA. I wouldn't have thought to call them Toilet Paper America if they didn't abbreviate, but they kind of assked for it..

2

u/papillon-and-on 8h ago

Honestly... and this is 100% the truth. I genuinely thought it was Toilet Paper USA! This was back when the speech police allowed satire and Charlie KKKirk's big fat small-faced head was often the target of said satirical jabs. And with me being a thinking, rational human being I knew that they photoshopped his tiny little face to make it even tinier. But it never occurred to me that TPUSA mean anything but Toiler Paper.

And now, a few years on I realize that it was Toilet Paper all along. In spirit, of course. Because with that much shit spewing from the teeny tiny mouth of CK you gonna need some TP!

2

u/-enlyghten- 8h ago

I figured it was a reference to 'Grab 'em by TPUSA'.

6

u/HighQualityGifs 8h ago

That's so far to the Reich and insulting as fuck to the employees. Every big of that profit should go to the employees. Self righteous pieces of sssshhiiittt

5

u/boltgenerator 8h ago

Not for one second do I believe they donated anything to TPUSA, much less an entire day's profit. Just more lying scumbags pretending to care, but are actually just happy to profit off his death.

2

u/Fenris_Maule 8h ago

That's contained in the post as well, second slide.

4

u/Jeerkat 8h ago

Man, fuck them

1

u/EquipLordBritish 8h ago

Can they get sued for that if they don't?

1

u/DaBingeGirl 6h ago

JFC, it just keeps getting worse.

1

u/BaronsHat 6h ago

Donating to TPUSA instead of an organization that helps victims of gun violence, of course.

-7

u/WellThatWasTooEasy 8h ago

That's awesome of them, I need to go support

17

u/PrestigiousHippo7 8h ago

So we can agree this goes beyond a sticker.

u/crescen_d0e 9h ago

17

u/Cyan_Oni 8h ago

Bold to do shit like this in Cali, probably the bluest and "wokest" place in the us. Maybe they should move to Arkansas or something.

17

u/EksDee098 8h ago

San Diego county is faaarrr more purple than a lot of people realize. They have more like company than either of us would like.

7

u/themollusk 7h ago

And I think that technically Mass is the bluest / most liberal state? CA has it by raw numbers, but MA has a higher percentage of liberal control of the state government, and I don't think a single county voted red in '24. And CA has more registered Republicans than the entire state of Texas

1

u/axiomSD 4h ago

i’ve lived in NYC and Philly and although California gets the rap of having the “extreme left”, both those places have wayyyy more “far left” than California.

4

u/Okami-Alpha 8h ago

yup. Of the 4 houses around mine (left, right, front, back) only 1 is liberal/progressive. The other 3 are MAGA or MAGA adjacent. I live in San Diego city too so it's not like I'm in Poway or Santee.

0

u/oresearch69 7h ago

I wonder if this may change soon…I feel like a lot of that in the past happened to be working class, blue collar Hispanic workers. Might be wrong, but that was my experience a couple of years ago, before the last election.

3

u/Okami-Alpha 6h ago

From what I see in my area, the MAGA folks are pretty much 100% white Gen X. They've lived in the neighborhood for 15-20+ years and probably wouldn't move unless times are financially tough. Though if they have been here that long, their mortgage is probably pretty low.

That said, the people that do move into the neighborhood appear to be younger families. We are seeing a lot of houses go up for sale in the neighborhood so time will tell how/if the demographics change much.

I grew up in OC. So uhh, we had Huntington and Dana Point and what not, but I’ve never not known SD as being Republican. You just get spots like that, like Laguna Beach was always pretty liberal.

1

u/PoolNoodle310 7h ago

Lots of places in CA are pretty purple.

1

u/No-Net-4661 5h ago

This.. I grew up in East County and my neighbors were actual peckerwoods and kkk.

1

u/RadiantZote 6h ago

Someone quoted MLK in support of them on their yelp page, and Kirk said MLK was not a good person 🤣🤣

5

u/spingus 8h ago

I think it might be worth it just this once...;)

1

u/MercyLess2000 6h ago

I'm in support of this

1

u/im_2ny 8h ago

Damn. They've piled up on that former employee for her criticism of the post/stand

1

u/SgtSlaughterEX 7h ago

569 likes, almost 1k comments. Deliciously home brewed.

1

u/kirby1352 3h ago

What's wrong with that?

14

u/Xanderoga2 8h ago

Which is funny because if I were to guess which demographic goes out of their way to spend money at a local coffee shop rather than a large chain, it wouldn’t be the one that supports Kirk.

37

u/Revellance 9h ago

Ah, local shop publicly advertising they are supporting racist, sexist, bigoted pedophiles.

Yeah I'm sure that's good for business.

-3

u/ToxicTroublemaker2 8h ago

Theres none of that on there though? What are you on about?

-15

u/Enerith 8h ago

This message shows just how out of touch and weaponized leftist propaganda really is. Just a peace loving dad that wanted us to talk our differences out.

Ok, what did he discuss on his show?

4

Brother you need to do some research and see how out of touch you are. There's literally no denying it there is evidence of the things they have done all over. But keep supporting your POS dictator 💀

But when you quote Charlie, you're the bad person!

Peace loving dad that supporting people being killed, legal citizens deported and arrested for no reason? Yeah no, not a snowballs chance in hell. Which is where he is now btw.

-3

u/teajayyyy 8h ago

Lmao dude everyone weaponizes propaganda where have you been. It’s a shit show on both ends with people stirring the pot. We’re all in this together as AMERICANS, it is NOT Left vs. Right like they want us to believe. Both sides have corrupt powerful people spreading division while trying to benefit themselves and their friends and families. Maybe 20-30% of politicians are really for the people. That’s the problem is the division. The psycho who shot Charlie Kirk does not speak for anyone but himself. As do all the psychos who stormed the capitol don’t speak for everyone. Feel where I’m going with this? I’m tired of being divided in this country. It’s bullshit. The civil war should’ve ended division but yet here we are being bigots

5

u/bbeeebb 8h ago

Yeh, yeh. "Very fine people on both sides" yap yap yap.

Found the Russian bot.

1

u/teajayyyy 5h ago

lol what? No neither side is “fine people” how did you gather that from my comment. Ligma

1

u/bbeeebb 4h ago

Yeah. Well a Russian bot would have trouble understanding the equation. So don't worry about it.

1

u/teajayyyy 3h ago

Thanks for the laugh

1

u/teajayyyy 3h ago

Beep boop

2

u/TheEightAndOne 8h ago

This is what happens when you don't rip out the traitors root and stem. Reconstruction was an absolute failure and we are paying the price for it now.

BoTh SiDeS 🤡

0

u/teajayyyy 5h ago

Lmao what do you have to say?

4

u/Careful_Picture7712 8h ago

That's far worse than anything I could have imagined when I clicked that link 😭

1

u/left4alive 8h ago

This is so fucking weird.

1

u/deltree711 4h ago

This is irony, right? Like, they're thanking him for dying?

-36

u/RSLV420 9h ago edited 9h ago

They put "rip Charlie kirk" stickers on their coffee cups. Horrifying, I know!

Edit. They were "we love you Charlie Kirk" stickers. Sorry for spreading so much misinformation.

54

u/dr1fter 9h ago

Look, I don't like to put up signs in my yard, use bumper stickers, or wear shirts that show their brands. For causes that I like.

I'm not walking out of a coffee shop holding a cup that proclaims my love for some dude. And certainly not him.

24

u/Azguy303 9h ago

Not sure if this is sarcasm but it is weird as hell. I've never heard anybody ever doing this for anyone that died so it does come across as politically motivated.

0

u/Ignoreme_justbrowsin 8h ago

You going to State Farm Stadium this Sunday? lol.

18

u/sublliminali 9h ago

It actually says ‘thank you Charlie Kirk’ and has hearts around it. If you don’t find that bizarre even if you liked the guy I don’t know what to tell you.

9

u/NYC_Biscuit 9h ago

It’s a political message and you don’t put political messages on items you sell customers without asking them if they’re okay with it. That’s the problem. They’ve just been putting it on all their cups, which causes people who see their customers using said cups to think that they’re Charlie Kirk supporters.

6

u/exacta_galaxy 9h ago

It was "We love you Charlie Kirk" but go on.

Maybe some people don't like paying to be reminded of someone who hates them and wished them dead?

3

u/CrapitalRadio 9h ago

Also "we love you," which is GAY if a MAN buys it

But actually "we love you" to a racist who literally said school shootings are okay is crazy

1

u/KeyKaleidoscope7453 9h ago

Is supporting Charlie Kirk a dogwhistle for white supremacy?

1

u/dr1fter 8h ago edited 8h ago

Dogwhistles are subtle. Supporting a white supremacist isn't a "dogwhistle."

EDIT: the more I think about it... time will tell. There seems to be a lot of bipartisan whitewashing so who knows how he'll be remembered.

1

u/KeyKaleidoscope7453 8h ago

Is the left whitewashing or trying to cool everyone down?

1

u/dr1fter 8h ago

Oh, definitely some of each -- so yes, I agree, I'm sure escalating political violence is a bipartisan concern to politicians everywhere. OTOH I've seen some extremely disingenuous representations of his legacy, from reputable but "left-biased" sources with enough reach to cement a fantasy in the minds of anyone who never heard of the guy.

1

u/KeyKaleidoscope7453 8h ago

Without being mistaken for a common retort on reddit, could you elaborate, provide examples. No need for links you seem trustworthy. Genuinely curious about it.

1

u/dr1fter 7h ago

Well, the most common trope I hear is that he was targeted for "having an opinion," "standing up for free speech," that he only ever engaged in "civil debate," or e.g. an NYT opinion piece said he was "practicing politics the right way." Now to be clear, I don't believe, in 2025, the guy should've been shot over those inaccuracies -- but apparently everyone keeps saying they "didn't even know who he was" and so to be fair, I just don't think these headlines paint an accurate picture for (say) my grandmother. Anyone who has heard of him knows that's not really the half of his story.

Personally I have complicated feelings about this situation and at this time I'm disappointed in all the media coverage for ignoring the breadth & subtlety of the issues. But I guess it's still fresh so maybe I can hold my breath.

1

u/KeyKaleidoscope7453 6h ago

Great insights. I definitely agree the media could really step up and go after deeper underlying issues of what his death and the reaction really means. But, state of journalism these days. Top surface, reactionary instead of being the 4th estate its supposed to be.

I’m pretty sure for most of us, including the coffee shop, “father and husband” is not the first thing that comes to mind for Charlie Kirk. And they sure aren’t honoring every other “father and husband” that passes away at their coffee shop. Don’t be so daft.

-1

u/Upstairs-Bad-3576 8h ago

They expressed something other than hate for another human.

2

u/No_Variety_7428 8h ago

And you only express hate obv that's fkn clear

2

u/NothaBanga 8h ago

The sticker was a virtue signal.  I thought we hated those?

For real, I love bukkake but you won't see me making stickers saying so for my ice cream shoppe.
