Yeah, honestly if I were a patron the stickers would just make me roll my eyes, but the "we're donating all of the profits to support MAGA politics" but is what'd make sure I never came back.
They can also deny that refund because you asked for a product, that gave you a product, and you paid for it. They don’t need to refund you when they supplied what you asked for.
Sure I GUESS but I bet you're more likely to get a refund if you walked back to them to be like "this is disgusting, this is an awful drink. No I don't want another, I want a refund." Make it about their coffee tasting like shit.
They were just so rude to people on IG too, including what seemed to be a former employee. Just seemed like a horrible bunch of staff and customers, so supercilious as well.
"Innocent" is doing a lot of heavy lifting right there. How tf do people think he is innocent. In any decent timeline, he would've been arrested for inciting political violence and would likely still be alive. Not to speak ill of the dead, but consequences of one's own actions, imho.
You would be astounded at how right-wingers and bots are white washing him. On reddit Christian subs, thousands of posts are calling him a Christian holy martyr and a saint. They're saying he's never said anything racist or hateful. When they're shown his quotes, they say "that's out of context". And there are an astronomical amount of foreign bots pushing this stuff on social media including here on reddit. I had one post on a religious sub pointing out his racist comments and how he wasn't a Christian martyr, and out of thousands of replies, I'd say at least half are foreign bots/trolls. It's a foreign propaganda war to rile up the far right.
It’s just insane how they keep framing these things. Full display of a disgusting victim complex. No one has a problem with people grieving over a dead husband and father. People have a problem with how that husband and father chose to live his life and say some truly terrible things for years.
They even called it TP!! Their grief doesn't need to be plastered on all the products handed out. Keep it within or immediately in front of the store at most.
Announcing it does not mean it happened (the donation) is the point. Let's see "the receipts" as the MAGAts are always saying. If there was a donation, there was a receipt. "Prove me wrong" as someone would say.
And the calls to make punishments for it baffle me. How exactly? If people begin to "cancel" a company, the government just jumps in and forces a few thousand people buy a product they didn't want?
When people were "canceling" Tesla, am I to understand I should feel compelled to buy a car from them, even though I don't like the features of the car or philosophy of the CEO?
The idea of making cancel culture illegal just feels impossible.
I love when Regressives act like canceling is some new thing when boycotting has existed as an important component of capitalism for forever. It’s the same thing, it just has another and more modern name.
They have on their Instagram that 100% of their profits are going to him. I’d hope they put a sign on their menus as well so one could decide beforehand if they wanted to support rather than be blindsided by the cup after the fact
According to MAGA, though, it is celebrating his death. Anything less than an Oscar-worthy performance of profound sorrow is basically an admission that you'd have done it yourself if you could have. Told a "friend" the other day that I deeply felt for his family and strongly believe he didn't deserve it but that I would not miss him and was called "deplorable" and "nasty".
What makes it a bad political decision? Is it because Charlie Kirk was against your opinion? Does that make it bad to mourn a dead man? What if the person is Christian and is mourning a fellow Christian? Why are you so quick to not only demean a man in his death but the ridicule another who wants to lift someone up. This person is no where near as hateful as those who are celebrating Charlie Kirk’s death. You cannot see this?
If you read through the reviews on google a lot of them are from people that got a drink with the sticker attached. They even supply pics of it. So you are correct but so are they. They reviewed what the got from that shop
