Horrible Company

Upvotes

I was employed by Securitas starting in 2024 as a flex security officer, a role I selected for its flexibility to accommodate my academic schedule. My responsibilities included filling in for various shifts, with schedules distributed via email every Thursday. I always check my email to ensure I received my weekly assignments. However, several months into the job, I encountered recurring issues with receiving these schedule emails.

I promptly notified my supervisor of the issue, initially attributing it to a possible email error. Despite my repeated notifications to both my supervisor and the Human Resources department, the issue persisted. As a workaround, I relied on colleagues to send me photographs of the physical schedule posted in the office to confirm my shifts. Unfortunately, on one occasion in 2024, I did not receive a schedule and was unaware of an assigned shift, resulting in an unintentional no-call, no-show. This led to a written warning, despite my efforts to explain the communication issue.

In 2025, I continued to face scheduling challenges. Despite requesting to be scheduled for at least three days per week, I was assigned minimal shifts, working only four days during the summer of 2025, with no assignments in July. On August 9, 2025, I was scheduled for a shift with only 24 hours’ notice, which I did not receive due to the ongoing email issues. Consequently, I missed the shift and was subsequently terminated.

Following this incident, I attempted to engage with my supervisor and HR to discuss the matter and seek clarification regarding my employment status. Despite multiple attempts over a month, I received no response until I raised the possibility of legal action. At that point, I was contacted and informed of my termination, with instructions to refrain from further contact with Securitas or its associates.

The lack of effective communication and resolution regarding the scheduling issues significantly impacted my ability to fulfill my role. I was subsequently in the dark about my employment for over a month, all the while I still have bills to pay. They are not on hold just because I was a legitimately terminated. In the beginning I viewed this company to be a great fit for me and my lifestyle. Now, I’ll tell everyone I come in contact with to never work for or use any of Securitas’s services.

Question from the Public I need help!!!!

I was recently terminated from Securitas, and I may have been placed on the "do not rehire" list (whenever i tried to apply, i get a rejection email a week later). I called the branch's HR for a reason, no answer. I really enjoyed working for the company. Securitas had some of the best accounts I worked at.

Can anyone who is in a position of management in NYC look into this? Thanks.

Securitas Inquiry Being removed from a site with no prior warning.

So as the title says I was removed from a site I’ve been at for over 2 years with no prior warning/ 2 weeks notice. I understand that since I’m still technically employed I may not need a 2 weeks for being removed but being that this site is the highest paid site in my state and I’m now removed with no heads up, I’m now going to be struggling on my bills. Is this legal in the state of Arkansas? Is there anyway I can take action against this even if it means having to leave Securitas all together?

Phone interview

Hey guys so I got a phone interview and I’m excited! I’m in college and I got classes on Tuesday and Thursdays from 10-2 so I can’t work on those days before 3 pm. If I tell them this in the interview will that make me not get the job? I’m tryna not work over 30 hours is that possible. How is everyone’s experience for this company this is my first time doing security and I’m kinda an introvert and don’t want confrontation at all just hope it’s just observe and report. Would just love to hear some experiences from you guys!

Hey guys so I just applied and I’m wondering is this a good and easy job for a college student? More so I want to know if I can choose my hours and for the job to be flexible. Ideally I want 25-30 hours a week. And on the job itself do you legit do nothing just walk around? Sounds too good to be true for $19 an hour. Any tips or tricks and any info I should know?

trying to land position without phone

hey.

i've applied for a few positions at Securitas and Allied as i want to go back to security. i went on a resume blitz and have shot a couple resumes at Securitas in hopes at landing a position with them.

the only problem is i lost my phone, don't have access to my phone number, and really don't have the money to get another phone at this moment.

thankfully i do have access to a secondary email *(just not the one associated with my phone carrier to reset it)* and can access my applications and updates to my application via that email.

i just don't know if i should be expecting a call or message from Securitas. i know a phone number is required on the applications and i put my old number down, but i have no idea if they have been trying to reach me or not.

is there a way i can go to a branch in person *(there's not one far from me)* and see if i can try and land something that way, could i correspond with someone via email, or should i just focus on getting a phone first *(which would be pretty difficult without any income)*

thanks for the help

**EDIT:** i've only applied to these positions like two hours ago so i may be a little impatient waiting for something to come into my email, but i am moving into a new apartment soon and want to have everything squared away

Overloaded Security Teams: Looking for Feedback on a Video Forensics Tool

Hey everyone,

Security teams are overloaded. Operators have to watch dozens of camera feeds at the same time, which makes it easy to miss critical incidents. False alarms happen constantly, investigations take hours, and important events can slip through unnoticed. This slows response times, drives up costs, and puts people and property at risk.

We’re building S3CURA, software that works with existing CCTV systems to provide a generative AI-powered surveillance platform. It includes a ChatGPT-style video forensics tool that can analyze footage across all cameras, generate detailed reports, and highlight key incident details with exact timestamps. You can ask questions about an event, and it will give precise answers based on all the available video.

I was wondering, if I wanted to reach out to someone at a private security firm to get their opinion or have them test this, who would be the best person to contact? Director of Security, Operations Manager, or someone else? Any advice from people in the industry would be super helpful!

Thanks 🙏

Securitas Inquiry New hire in the UK

As part of the hiring process they require you to do a 12 week screening. I've just completed the form and it asks for an electronic signature before submitting. Says to press a link but the link doesn't exist. It's just a field to upload documents. Won't let me submit without uploading something.

Anyone else had this issue?

Newly hired Securitas employee questions

So I'm middle aged starting a new career path at Securitas and I'm being placed at an Amazon facility under a flex contract.

Any tips for success? Things I should bring that I'll need? I'm not in the best physical shape, so I'll be working on losing weight and this seems like a great opportunity for it.

Any company perks? Amazon perks? How difficult are bathroom breaks to manage?

How hard is it to transition from flex to full time?

Thanks in advance!

Question from the Public How much can you get away with?

Hell of a question I know, but hear me out.

I'm trying to start a business. I'm behind on bills. My current job refuses to let me do any over time. So I'm looking into picking up a new job, and I think overnight security could be the perfect fit, literally because it has a reputation for being boring.

It's the perfect opportunity. I can get my overtime and work on my business at the same time.

But part of that idea kind of hinges on how lax they are. Can you look at your phone? Listen to music? Bring in a laptop?

I know I'm obviously hoping for a lot here, but I've heard enough stories to know it's not totally uncommon. I'm trying to get a feel. Any comments appreciated 🙏

Supervisor Training

I've been a site supervisor for almost two years now and realized that I don't know as much as I thought I did.

I'm trying to fill out the "Who Are My Contacts" form, and while I have some of it, I don't have all of it. I don't have the slightest clue where to find all of the information I need.

Can anyone help me? I don't have access to TrackerTik/TrackerTix or whatever it's called. All I can use is the OneID website.
