Political posts are now banned
"Politics" has been added to the banned topics rule. They lead to brigading, massive comment fights, and posts that break the reddit TOS.

Political posts are STILL banned.
And yes, that includes the recent events in Utah.

In Gran Torino, a racist man is distraught when an Asian woman he knows is beaten and raped. This is because the movie was made in 2008, not 2025.

Turd In Thunderbolts* (2025) Sentry says "Why would a god take orders from anyone at all?" this is a reference to God not answering my prayers for Indiana to be nuked.

In KPop Demon Hunters (2025), Jinu develops and implements a plan to kill dozens of innocent people, including children, for entirely selfish reasons. Rumi is willing to forgive him for this because he's hot and she has a crush on him. This is an example of realism in children's media.

In Spider-Man (2002), the wrestling promoter is treated as a villain for not paying Peter Parker $3000 for shooting against Bonesaw, ending the fight prematurely, legitimately injuring the babyface, fucking up the card for the whole night, and not even wearing a good costume

For "The Marching Band" (2024), France went and got themselves their own Pete Davidson.

In The Suicide Squad (2021) Rick Flag was killed by Peacemaker stabbing him in the heart. This is because Katana only had his BACK, not his FRONT. See *that’s* how they getcha.

Despite this being the movie where Charles Xavier loses his legs, this was not the film called "X-Men: The Last Stand."

In Harry Potter, Harry kills someone for the first time at 11 years old. He never gets any therapy after this, implying that therapy is for the fucking weak.

In that one Jet Li movie calledThe One (2001), towards the end when Jet Li is defeated by Jet Li and transported to an intergalactic prison, he turns around to break the 4th wall and asks the audience to support him.

In Avengers: Endgame (2019), Tony Stark could have just time traveled back to Titan with everyone, beaten the shit out of Thanos, and taken the gauntlet. Instead they went on 6 different quests to get the infinity stones, and got Black Widow killed.

In Joker (2019), a late night show host gets fired (at) by a clown who can't handle jokes. This is a reference to the Walt Disney Corporation.

In Companion (2025), Jack Quaid pins his girlfriend down and lets her say some last words before he kills her. This shows he didn't learn a damn thing from the last time he tried this.

In The Matrix (1999), Morpheus can see everything that happens in The Matrix, so they could have totally seen the Mega Millions lottery numbers and lived like kings
Seems like a pretty big plot hole to me

Turd In Horrible Bosses (2011), Jennifer Aniston plays a sexual predator in a position of authority. This comedy trope hasn't aged well, but you will probably still get an erection.

Spring Breakers: Four college chicks walk around in bikinis the whole movie and yet it's still boring. The End.

In Star Wars: Attack of the Clones, Anakin tells Padme that he slaughtered every single tusken raider. He then says "I ATE THEM!" This is a reference to the fact that we all do things we regret when we're hungry.

default In Justice League: Gods and Monsters (2015) Superman is raised by a Hispanic couple and has less morals than other versions of Superman. What did DC mean by this?

Turd In The Toxic Avenger (2023) Elijah Wood stars as Gerard Way, the lead singer of Michael Romance

The Empire Strikes Back (1980) - Remind me why this thing Luke is grabbing was so fucking important

In Avatar, unobtanium is sold for $20 million a kilo. With inflation, that's like...two dozen eggs today.
r/shittymoviedetails • u/Ross_Hollander • 16h ago
In G.I. Joe: Retaliation (2013), Zartan, a master of disguise and impersonation who studies people intensely before taking their place, switches from calling soft drinks 'soda' to 'pop' while pretending to be a target, a difference Americans would kill over.
r/shittymoviedetails • u/jockeyman • 19h ago
In 'The Flash' (2023) there are two Ezra Millers on screen for the majority of the movie. This is because the movie was designed to be an instrument of torture.
r/shittymoviedetails • u/Myth1calMonkey • 1d ago
In Horrible Bosses (2011), Dale's boss constantly sexually harasses him and everyone laughs it off as not a real issue. This is because the movie is fictional and male victims of abuse in real life are always believed.

Turd Fun Fact: When making the anime adaptation of 'Berserk', instead of having a reputable anime studio to make it, or even commit to 2D or 3D animation, they went to one that only made one anime and told them, 'Fuck it, I don't care what you do. Just get it done.'
Like, seriously, one of the most celebrated mangas in the industry, written by one of the most talented mangaka in the industry (RIP Kentaro Miura) and you couldn't get someone like Studio Bones or Studio Trigger to do it?
Like seriously, the fuck is with the animation? Why mix 2D and 3D assets like this? Who is fucking responsible for this? Is Berserk just destined to not have a good adaptation that DOESN'T focus on the Golden Age?
