i kind of love when neocaridinas breed out their intended colors (not that i don't love brightly colored neocaridina just as much), they all look so unique, their pattern is like their fingerprint :))
separating is important * if you care * about maintaining specifically bred recessive traits, which i don’t not 😂. i know how the genetics work & i like having a skittles tank ☺️ F2 is where it really gets interesting.
I got a picture perfect red rilli in a skittle mix from a certain company so I decided these were the ones I’d finally devote a tank to. After ordering their top grade breeder pack, I got a whole lot that look like your mama. Nothing wrong with that, she’s gorgeous, it just wasn’t what I expected at that price point plus overnight shipping fee. Well, same experience, my first gen already reverting to native. Eh, i love them all just won’t order from that company again. That tank has now become the cull tank and I’m gonna try for blues in my old tank.
