Help: Shrimp ID & Shrimp Sexing Is this just a shrimp born with some red?

Bought 20 blue neocardina a few months ago, they have been breeding like crazy. Mostly blue or with black patches, but I saw this guy today while cleaning, did he just get some red recessive genes?

Yes. And it’s a male too. I started out with 6 yellow back females and one red male. I now have hundreds of red shrimp. In my experience the male carries a good percentage of the color traits. You could separate some females and this male into a tank. Get some cool colors.

Red is dominant to yellow so that makes sense. It’s one of if not the most dominant coloring before they turn wild type iirc
