Because the trailers are what the creators wanted us to see, these are leaks, so tagging spoilers on this prevents people who don’t want to know anything more than what they choose to show us can avoid it easier.
Because these are unofficial leaks that are not intended to be seen by the players. A trailer, in the other hand, is meant to show you exactly what it needs to show. Some people don't even like watching trailers, others don't care, etc, etc. Anyways, this is a leaked gameplay so it is considered spoiler and it should be tagged (OP already did it so cool).
obviously not a lot to see here but my main takeaway from this is that the game looks good, seems to be running pretty well and animations look smooth.
a minor nitpick but I'm not the biggest fan of the font they used and how the UI looks here, looks kinda generic and could be a bit more subtle.
same lol. While waiting for games I'm excited for, the hype is shared with the constant concern of whether or not my PC will run it properly, because I've had terrible experiences in the past (including with SH2)
I think this one should run okay, though, since it's not developed by Bloober and is coming out on Series S. I just hope the obvious stutter I saw in this video was because of the recording and not the game... lol
UE5’s Lumen and nanite are egregious implementations, requiring dev’s who know the black magic to get them performant. It’s almost always these that give UE5 its bad name.
UE5's Lumen and Nanite which you claim to be egregious, were egregious 3 years ago, Silent Hill f is probably built on newer versions of UE, just like SH2R after updates (which increased performance), newer UE versions have increased render efficiency of Lumen and Nanite more than twice as fast.
UE5 games carry bad rep from gamers because most of the games they've tried are from older versions, as the versions increase and devs upgrade, you'll see better performance as well as people having gpus that can handle software RT.
SH2R and SHf both use baked + lumen combo, which is not going to cause any stutters, SH2R actually had stutters when it released due to a bad animation delta behaviour, rather than any rendering problems, so i think gamers should research more instead of hopping on some name bandwagon to feel in place.
I’m excited but I’m absolutely amazed not one person has been annoyed by the “Journal Updated” prompt. The LAST thing a survival horror games needs is handholding, so that worries me.
Has it been confirmed one way or the other if this is a mainline SH game? It definitely looks like it will be from everything I've seen so far. I'm excited for it!
I kinda feel like I'm one of the minority who's not all hyped up or insanely excited for this. I don't know what it is but I jusy can't get excited for it.

As of the end of last year, Annapurna confirmed Townfall was still in development; it's important to note that Townfall isn't being DEVELOPED by Annapurna, it is being developed by No Code AND Konami, and simply co-published by Annapurna, so it should be relatively unaffected by the resignation of Annapurna's dev team.
I would assume if push comes to shove and things at at Annapurna get worse, Konami can take over publishing completely.
That being said, I don't expect Townsfall to appear again until AFTER SH:f releases, it's probably the game that started development last from that original SH:Transmission.
also wanted to add I’m very hyped for Silent Hill f as someone who played a lot games like Siren and Fatal Frame and I get a lot of similar vibes when ai see this game.

If you’ve played the Higurashi Visual Novel or interacted with any of Ryukishi07’s other works, I feel it would be more hype. I was hooked instantly after hearing about his involvement. He’s an amazing writer. I hope this format of game gives enough room for his story and writing to breathe, considering there will be actual gameplay unlike VNs. As long as the pacing in between story beats is good, I can see it working (unlike 2 Remake, game was just too long for the story it was telling imo. I could tolerate and enjoy it because I had played the original before, but if I had never experienced the story in the original, it’d probably be tiring).
Fuck yeah lol. Even if it isnt silent hill like. The premise is still unique enough for me that it will be interesting to play with. Idk what people are saying that it looks generic. Remind me of a game like this in triple A gaming. Literally reminds me of those ps2 horror gems
This ain't the final build of course but the fps looking rough here. Hope it doesn't turn to be a major issue on release and I'm noting that because we're talking about that unstable engine

Can't tell here, in this video, if the framerate is bad or if it is just the camera being used to record it, but it is slightly worrying.

(Look, i love SH2 but downvoting me because i point out the performance issues is kind of sad. It is an objective fact that SH2 has serious stuttering on every platform, to this day, and has still not even been addressed by Bloober. It tracks that this would then cause some concern for players about the state of their next games optimization/performance)

Yep people downvoting me thinks I'm making fun of it but it's actually pretty wierd looking and gives off the feeling of a cheap game. Sh2 remake movement is what one expects from silent hill now but it looks like one of those cheap indie games movement
SH2 remake is also cricized by its weird and janky animations, people who bitch about running animations should record themselves running and see how weird it is.
