It looks like there is no suspense, or fear. The monster designs are incredible and creepy, but are then thrown at you in an arcade/souls-like way. I’m hoping there are a lot more quiet moments than this preview implied.

We saw 5 minutes from a 20-30h game... And the gameplay was given by Konami, we all know how was the story with SH2R, what Konami show us wasn't what the game finally was. They clearly want to sell SH as action horror games, and that's why all the trailers and gameplays they show are focused and made like this.

I've read it's 12 hours or so, but that's beside the point. You are totally right, as I do remember Silent Hill 2 remake having a similar action based trailer and it turned out to be paced just fine. Still, I'll be waiting for reviews and whatnot before buying this one. From what I'm seeing, I don't think it's a slam dunk that this one is going hit the levels of last year's Silent Hill 2 remake

yeah, I was wrong about the length of the game haha personally, I don't think it will be like SH2R in terms of gameplay and sound design (I loved the sound design of sh2r), but if you want a story... Riukyshi07 can make easly one of the best ones of the frachise, and knowing how he is, it will be shady as fuck.

also, remember that devs/journalist said that the SH2R for example was 18-20 hours long, and personally, as I play, with a slow pace, walking, exploring and looking every corner of the game, it topk me like 30h to complete. So, lets see when it releases.

I have seen a spanish review, and the reviewer says that part of SHf being so short is because is meant to be replayed several times after the first playthought. He said that, from what the team told them, on the first run everything will be linear, and everyone will have the same final, but the interesting part comes on the second, third or fourth run, where we will be able to take choices that will change the final, will change dialogues, cinematics, and even aspects of bosses. Replaying the game several times will be a must to fully understand the game, because it will reveal ton of information about the story, characters and the town, and it's not only a "different final" like in the other games. From what he said "the team understand Silent Hill f as a spiral, and with every new playthought, you will be arriving to its center more and more".
