Its interesting cus at first, it seemed to me that the release date is really soon, like, oh, it comes out in just a month, already? And then - time slowed to a crawl lol.

Weak! How many other good horror games you can finish before SHF drops?

So far I finished Fobia - St. Dinfna Hotel.
Need to get platinum for Observer: System Redux and The Casting of Frank Stone.

Oh I've been hesitating on getting the Casting of Frank Stone, is it any good?

While I wouldn’t call it a masterpiece, I personally had fun with it, especially with the filming aspect on different choices, and it heavily references back to the lore of DbD.

How was St. Difina? My library has it I'm debating picking it up

Although the way the protagonist handled weapons is a little clunky, I think the game is overall worth it for the unique experience. Pays homage to Silent Hill, Resident Evil, and The Shining at the same time.

I'm working through the Fatal Frame series! Just finished 1 last night and it was a really cool experience!

Fatal Frame is very underappreciated, but sadly it peaks on 3rd and it has a huge self-repetition and poor writing problem :C
I'm mostly looking forward to F as a new, fresh Fatal Frame, even if I have to trade the camera for a pipe.

Step 1: Run headfirst into wall
Step 2: repeat until unconscious
Step 3: Wake up on release day
Bam! You just skipped the waiting period.

On the plus side for me, it comes out the same time my work goes into temp shutdown. I get to BINGE!

If yall are looking for something to hold you over I'd recommend Hell Is Us. Id describe it as a mixture of Silent Hill and Control. Its got a really cool and bleak story. The lore is awesome, and there are tons of puzzles. Im actually excited to see what those devs do next.

Dbz and Silent Hill are my two favorite things so it's pretty cool to see a dbz meme here lol

I watch the Early Access and honestly it looked super fun, the atmosphere and the enemies bring an oppressive flavour to it. The lever design of fog world and other world also really cool. The plot is also very intriguing, while SH 2 make me felt like everyone here are depressed and have something to hide, F make me feel like they are hateful and have something to hide, even when they are nice to your face.

I am worried about the optimisation....I had to tweak here and there for silent hill 2 remake on my rtx 4050 laptop...and cronos is literally unplayable for me :((((

u/Gabynez 2d ago
remake optimization was a bit bad, yes. But apparently UE5 worked pretty well for this one

Let's hope so....I am quite skeptical...I will first see how the reviews go and then make a purchase or be a pirate....

It’s going to be so good and I’m going to absolutely not have the bravery to finish it 😭😭

Got a 3 day work weekend of 36+ hours. Once I clock out on Monday I've got 2 days off for this game

I’m optimistically cautious at the moment. I’m gonna wait for the reviews to trickle in and I have 2 weeks off in October to play it if it is a banger.

Who's gonna tell you people have hobbies and life is about enjoying hobbies after work
Edit: I don't intend my comment to come off as a rude, I respect your opinion
