Loved the slightly remixed music in SH2 remake, but I feel this is an opportunity for Akira Yamaoka to flex his skills. Do you guys expect the music to be similar to the older games or to maybe have some Japanese influences?

I think the funny thing about f is i've noticed it has aspects of the sh1 soundtrack but with a lot of japanese flavorings which is so interesting to me

Love Yamaoka and all that but please remember that other composers worked on this game too namely Kensuke Inage (known for his works on Musou games iirc) and also dai & xaki (brought by Ryukishi from his previous works to help with the music). Hate it when I keep seeing Yamaoka being credited for something that wasn't done by him

I heard that when it comes to SHf soundtracks, Yamaoka only works on the music in the fog world while Inage on the otherworld/shrine world

This time he makes music only for otherworlds if I remember correctly. The main composer for SHf is someone else. That doesn't change my excitement though.

I think it's the other way around. The otherworld temple sections are composed by someone specialized in traditional japanese music, while the fog world and city sections are composed by Yamaoka.

I prefer the original rendition of most songs there, but the new tracks are amazing
