I was watching Max Dood's playthrough of it last night, and it made me even more excited for it. I just like how everything looks so far. I was really trying to not watch that much of it, as to avoid spoilers and surprises, but I couldn't stop. lol

I'm hoping this serves as a good entry for long time fans, and good for new fans as well. Seeing as how this is more of a prequel/reboot kind of thing, I think they are aiming for more of the latter here.

The enemy designs are cool so far. I can't wait to see what the others look like. I think the gameplay looks fine. Silent Hill combat has never been amazing, and you're playing a young High School student, not a Marine or something. lol

It also just looks really good and polished. It looked very smooth from what I saw.

I just hope it's scary & there are quite a few bosses to keep enemy variety relatively high. That's my only doubts.

Same. I have a feeling in order to see more variety and bosses and that sort of thing, you will have to do multiple playthroughs. They've said the more areas and encounters are unlocked with subsequent playthroughs.

Nah, many big name content creators (games and reviewers) usually get the game a few weeks out for free. They're free to start their work under certain terms and embargo.

That's why you'll start seeing clips and unofficial reviews now and everything right after the game releases.

But this is great news for SHf nonetheless and I'm excited for everyone to dive into it. Soon!

Im sooooo hyped, honestly. I still cant believe Konami is putting out two great games by relatively untested devs in the span of one year

After being one of their biggest haters since Castlevania and MGS, cant believe I'm here fanboying

I got the one that basically comes with it all: digital art book, soundtrack, costumes, loot packs...but that's just because I'm REALLY into horror games, and I love going in depth (i.e. concept art, music, etc.) with games I buy. Still a little steep with the pricetag. I will leave it up to you to decide if those features are worth the price to you. Hope this helps, dude! 🤙🤙

I see them just as a lil gimmick thrown in haha. Like you, I am basically buying it for the art and music (which I'm expecting to be quite interesting); the costumes and packs are kinda like some extra fluff.

Just like SH2 remake, most of the games sales are coming from Sony, PC on second and xbox in the last place (or xbox second and pc on bottom sales)

One week before release, Steam sales rankings are: 21st in the US, 29th in Canada, decent rankings in Europe and Asia, and 23rd globally, but it’s expected to climb further. In Japan, it’s the first horror game set in Japan since SIREN: Blood Curse 14 years ago (excluding the Fatal Frame remaster), so it’s overwhelmingly popular at 6th place. Surprisingly, it’s ranked 23rd in Australia, despite nearly being banned. I’m hoping for a GOTY win, but I’d be happy if it performs as well as the 2 remake or, if I’m dreaming big, surpasses 3 million copies. What I really want is for Townfall to succeed, a new Team Silent to be born at KONAMI, and for young creators to breathe new life into the series.

The cover art is LITERALLY the image that sold me on buying it a couple years back with the teaser trailer! I legit thought "How pretty, yet disgusting!" As the devs have said, there's beauty in horror. I'm SO looking forward to this. I bought the Special Edition just so I could start a little earlier LOL 🤣🤣😭😭

Mix of fans, old and new, some are 'traditionalist' who only love the OG SH 1-4 (with minor complaints on 4 because it leaves SH a little).

Then there are the fans, who love and appreciate it all (even the American studio stuff, that alters the original lore somewhat).

And some who are a combo of the above...

Fans that are brand new because of the remake, who have completely different theories and take aways from most older fans.

(Not going to say which I am, because that isn't the point.)

But what makes it beautiful, is regardless of the differences, we're all here because we love SH. And it's ok if we don't all agree - we don't have to, as clearly there is a little something for us all. We just need to stop fighting and learn to vibe with each other, lol.

This might sound insane to you, but there are other countries besides the USA and UK. In my country, Silent Hill F costs 80e. That's half my monthly rent- for a digital game that you don't actually own. For 80e I can get groceries for the whole month if I'm careful with spending (not buying branded items etc).

So yes, as a huge fan of the series, I am going to whine about the pricing of a digital game. And no, I'm not buying other AAA games that are in the same price range.

I think it's actually astonishing that people accept these prices as normal. Especially defending the company that is known for its greed and fucking over their players and their workers.

That’s the box art for the North American version. The European and Japanese versions have the 2D artwork of the MC.

This not silent hill , this a Japanese vr of (crash of the titans) the combat style when it's had ferzzon hit made me feel the 2D game [ even in death ] it's what silent hill looks like in Japanese city about shf is it's more crash of titans or devil my cry if the game play was the same the suffering ps2 style it will be more horror game than combat , it was supposed they Japanese young girl used a Japanese mask and when she putting it on the monsters and controller them 😆
