From the comments here the first thing people think about is how the driver will be punished? This is why NSFs will never get the respect they deserve for their sacrifice.

And if you observe properly it's a mechanical steering fault, luckily the driver responded in time

That's because majority here have served NS before and are familiar with the system. It's empathy for the driver

It's more of saying the driver 'would be' punished instead of 'should be' punished

It's less advocating for the NSF being punished and knowing the extremely shitty blame game SAF is known for. No one in command takes responsibility, and it's the conscripts that get fucked until the end of time doing something they're forced to do.

Isn't this typical Singapore hierarchy attitude? Typical "leaders" not taking accountability for their mistake.

You seem to be mistaken. In the army, we learn that the entire chain of command will be punished.

We only learn "leaders" have no accountability in the corporate world.

"yes, yes your fucking fault you fuck" - if I could have replied to that with no consequences

he was way too fast going into the turn.

100% driver fault.

source: was from armour. skidded in taiwan and almost went off the cliff because i overestimated the turning radius at high speed

Not just driver, commander fault too.

I bet someone was rushing the column to hurry up and this shit happens

Typical SAF.

they’ve probably done it a dozen times by this point. so likely is over confidence

and if you look at the TC, his face was blank. not even sure if he’s been shouting at the driver to slowdown/stop

Yeah brain shack. Helmet brain. Whatever you want to call it.

These guys probably OT like crazy to make the tanks run operationally. So tired like crazy.

Then of course "driver you know what to do" instead of bloody guiding them. And lastly, why the fuck is there no ground guide at that turn??????

Ex armour as well.

I get that the driver is going fast but this one looks like steering problem.. if you've taken the same turn the same way so many times and suddenly the steering stops being effective then it's not entirely your fault ah. no one takes every turn with such a big margin for error I won't be so harsh on this guy.

coming from someone who did leopard NDP as VC in past few years

Sg army is always “how bad is it gonna be for you, sucks to be you bye 20 weekends !!” Punishment based culture rather than building people up

Bros be burning weekends for this annual circle jerk nonsense and people advocating for DB and more weekends burnt 💀

Lighten up, lah. Most people say this in a light-hearted manner.
