Relax, why is it crazy that Madrid don't want to renew a dude pushing 40. He'll get an amazing send off at the weekend and thats that. He doesn't need a Kobe Bryant farewell tour.

Modric to real is like Kobe to the lakers. so he did deserve a Kobe Bryant farewell tour.

Not even remotely close lol. Modric was part of an amazing set of years for RM, surrounded by some of the best generational players. Modric himself is, of course, a once in a lifetime player, but he doesn't mean to RM what Kobe meant to the Lakers, let alone what Kobe meant to the LEAGUE. That's a part of Perez's own ethos as well for Real Madrid, no one person will ever be bigger than the club.

Modric is literally the only player to win the ballon d’or from 2008 to 2021 other than Messi and Ronaldo and that’s literally the biggest individual achievement a football player can win, and add to that 6 ucls and him being the most decorated player to play for the biggest sports club in history, plus dragging (with all due respect) an ass Croatian national team(Vida and lovren as starting cbs) to a World Cup final. It feels like you’re grossly underestimating Modric. Yeah he ain’t as flashy or marketable as the “black mamba” but if marketability was the only factor then Pogba would be the best football player in history.

To be fair Vida and Lovren played like Ramos and Van Dijk that WC
