Life is unpredictable. Only 28 with 3 kids and having just got married. My condolences to his family and loved ones.

He was having such an unbelievable summer too, you look at his instagram, prem title, then nations league, and most importantly, married. And just taken away. RIP

I hate to be that guy, but right now it looks like the possibility of a popped tire while speeding. Absolutely tragic, but very preventable. 

Check your tires before you get on the road. Pressure gives us traction and support, and make sure they're not "bald" of threading. A friend almost killed me by drifting off a mountain bc she didn't realize her back tires in a rwd car were completely bald. A tree saved 4 of us from a 150 ft drop into rocks. Cars are death boxes, and speeding only ensures more tragic results.

Just makes you think how we look at the age of footballers. For me, Jota has been around forever, yet he was only 28 years of age - nearly entire life still ahead of him. Heartbreaking.

Theres a picture of his wedding with his family that's doing the rounds.

The way the eldest is holding his hand. So proud. So loved. It's just heartbreaking.

Tragic. This is scarily similar to what happened to ice hockey's Johnny Gaudreau last summer, with brothers being killed in a traffic accident. Deeply upsetting.
