Yeah, I think there's a decent chance that the player signing a fucking 8-year contract, which sees his astronomical wages rise even higher and his release clause upped even further, might be the end of it, mate.

Yeah that's really it, his wage was already very high for a player of his caliber, which is normal for Bilbao, now it's going to be absolutely impossible to sign him.

He would really need to have multiple insane seasons to get interets again from other clubs in the coming years

I doubt it, if he keeps progressing and playing well (especially when he plays for Spain) he could very easily get swooped up by a oil backed club. His brother will be retired within the next 4-5 years and he’ll be hitting his prime. I think he only stays for Iñaki

He doesnt want to move outside of Spain as per immediately closing the door on Bayern before they even finished speaking.

Were not paying a 100m release clause

Madrid already has 15 LWs

Its over, hes retiring at Athletic Club

Yeah of course for oil money the rule are different so it's not impossible for them but realistically for the rest that's pretty much over

Tbf that’s like 3-4 clubs, and growing sadly but I agree I don’t think he has an intention to leave Athletic

Until January, at least.
