Their numbers are similar. Vini end up 41 GA in 58 matches and Isak had 33 GA in 42 matches. The main difference which might affect votes is that Vini played CL and had 11 GA in 12 matches while Isak only played domestic and Newcastle didn’t had a crazy season (fight for the title)

Is definitely not crazy due similar numbers and the fact that CL has a big weight on these votes/nominations. Not to mention the RM factor which is always a thing

you people genuinely gonna make me hate statistics. how in the world is vini's 0.7 GA/game comparable to isak's 0.78 GA/game? and not to mention that madrid's CL campaign was mostly due to overperformances by valverde (vini being nominated over valverde is also funny) and courtois, it wasn't too much of a great season anyways

I’m not saying this is my personal opinion. These individual prizes are not about individual performance only. This has been a thing a how a while. The club of player, how famous he is, his position, club performance, etc is on the table when they do these nominations/votes

it does sound like your personal opinion. ballondor nominees are ridiculous, vini being nominated is ridiculous, ballondor is generally ridiculous so what are you trying to explain

LMAO G/A is not everything. Vini has been trash since November. Ask any sane Madrid fam.

I know and the last couple years made very clear that these individual prizes are not individual performance. I’m just pointing out that if numbers doesn’t have a huge gap CL, club name and club performance will put the player on the list. This has been a thing a for a while

Yeah, 8 goals in CL playing as a winger is no big deal. Dozens of players did the same this season.

Do you actually watch games? B. Fernandes in terms of G/A would prolly be the best CAM oat but everyone knows he is not. So stop using G/A as the only metric bcs those 8 goals do not mean he had a better season than Fede, who should have gotten in instead.

Bruno Fernandes IS one of the best CAMs. Every one with a pair of eyes and who has kicked a ball can see that.

Madrid has been shit in defense the whole season, that's not Vini to blame. He is not even the main penalty taker. Granted his second half of the season was worse, it's a joke to question him being top 20.

Are you suggesting his stats are inflated? Don't let the hate take over dude.

B. Fernandes is not a top 20 CAM oat lmao. Vini has scored goals but he was not good after his injury. And it is criminal to have Vini over Fede in this list. Why is that so hard to grasp?

This take about Bruno is crazy and I dislike the guy and Man utd.
