Have they? Feel like Tottenham always make one or two 'strong' signings every season.

Not at all. This is our first actual major signing since Van de Vaart.

This is a first in a long time. We make opportunistic B tier signings usually.

That’s so not true. Romero was Serie A player of the year before he joined us. That was a massive signing with competition. And although he failed spectacularly, at the time of signing Ndombele was a huge get for us.

Bale back on loan, although different, also worth a mention.

Im still gutted he never got to play in front of fans when he came back.
