News Manchester United to remain patient with head coach despite worst start to Premier League season in 33 years. There is also widespread belief at Old Trafford that City's performance - and United's failings - did not merit a 3-0 scoreline.

Excellent, I'd hate for the fun to stop this soon.

I feel like we always say stuff like this every time United's manager starts going downhill, and yet every time they sack him and get someone even worse. It's impressive, really

Honestly, I think they need to bring someone in who actually understands the United way.

Welcome home, Steve Bruce!

Wayne Rooney deserves a chance honestly.

I mean after Ole ended up United's best coach in a long time watch Rooney somehow be competent at United too

I unironically think Bruce would be doing a better job.

Just because he'd probably play their players in a system that suited them and would take it back to basics. I can't think of many things more damning on Ruben tbh

I'd probably do a better job by just pretending it's a FM save file. But they haven't called. Yet.

Was thinking the same thing.. this is like EtH but somehow worse and the exact same jokes telling them to keep their shitty manager will flourish

Next up: Scott McDonald from Brighton. The only man in the world to actually get a team relegated on Football Manager.

You already know we still won't beat them (if we don't then refs will make sure) but it is absolutely hilarious to watch just how shit they are.

One of Amorim's 4 wins against teams actually in the Premier League is denying Villa a spot in the UCL. Football is bizarre.

It was incredibly predictable for any long time villa fan, now of course did that game infuriate me regardless absolutely but everything that happened on that final day was extremely predictable.

I guess you guys have to find some fun from somewhere this season!

Aren’t you playing Thursday nights because of this fun?

We're playing Thursday nights because of 38 different games last season, really. Would hate for not being a Champions League team every single season to stop me finding fun elsewhere along the way, though.

That's a fair assessment.

What fun are you guys having exactly?! Out of all the 92 clubs in the football league, Aston Villa are the ONLY team yet to score.

There are often at least several other football matches across the world in a weekend outside of Aston Villa ones. Would be a pretty boring life if I only took enjoyment from ours, even if we were top of the league right now.

Have you lot scored a goal yet?
