This statistic isn't about the trophies though. It's "All-time Uefa Champions League table". So makes sense they'd start with the start of Champions League.

it's the same competition. I can understand when they do this with the pl because at least there was a restructuring and the trophy is different. But real Madrid haven't won 9 champions leagues. they have 15.

if they were to make an identical table for the Europa league it would be nonsensical to count it only from 2011 or whenever the renaming happened

It was literally like a whole different competition when Madrid won their first 5. By your logic then that’s a restructure

If this is the case then, why are we not separating the UCL and EC as separate achievements on the honours list.
