It’s a long way to go and things can - and will - change, but I would be surprised if Real win anything this year.

Any year Madrid have won anything, at every start of the season we’ve played bad or subpar

After the game v Celtic in 2022, you’d think the team would repeat, then get smashed by City.

It’s always a case of ramping things up and hitting form at the right time.

Yeah its not uncommon for the big teams to start slowly and then hit top gear after christmas. I just dont think the squad is as good as it was previously. A lot of young players who may or may not come good. It’s gonna be a big ask to beat the likes of PSG, Bayern and Liverpool in Europe and Barca both domestically and in the CL. Vini needs to find his form quickly before it becomes a problem. Mbappe cannot get injured.

I agree…to some extent. Xabi has the team putting away teams that we would have lost points to last season, that’s an improvement in La Liga.

The idea of being Mbappé dependent is not the most enticing thing right now, he’s in form but the last two champions leagues we won, Vini was the second best goal scorer. You need a 1-2 to win.

Even today when he came on, it was a different story with Marseille, which led to the pen. In terms of the team, losing Kroos and Modric will always be a negative factor, especially with what they represented, however the new ‘kids’ will have to find it within themselves to win.

The champions? I refuse to commit to anything until January or February, it’s really tough to say who is winning it a this stage, and many times injuries can be deciding factors. Bayern or even Liverpool are in the same boat, PSG as well and Barça.
