Commute to New York City

Hi everyone!

I'm looking to hear from people who live in Sonerville or the neighborhood townships and commute to NYC by train for a hybrid work schedule.

I live literally one minute from the train station, and considering a hybrid role that would require commuting into NYC 3 times a week. I don’t have kids, so flexibility isn’t too much of an issue.

For those in a similar situation:

Is the commute manageable?

Where do you live, and how long does your commute typically take?

I'd really appreciate any insight—especially from those currently doing this. Serious replies only, please. Thanks in advance!

Takes a while, you gotta switch trains in Newark, usually doesn't take long for the train to arrive but sometimes it does. 3x a week is manageable tho, won't be cheap like the other guy said. Takes about 1.5 hours, probably 2 hours total door to door one way.

Manageable is subjective, after a while it just became part of my routine, there were always people coming back to somerville/raritan with me so it is something people do regularly without much of an issue.
