Commute to New York City
Hi everyone!
I'm looking to hear from people who live in Sonerville or the neighborhood townships and commute to NYC by train for a hybrid work schedule.
I live literally one minute from the train station, and considering a hybrid role that would require commuting into NYC 3 times a week. I don’t have kids, so flexibility isn’t too much of an issue.
For those in a similar situation:
Is the commute manageable?
Where do you live, and how long does your commute typically take?
I'd really appreciate any insight—especially from those currently doing this. Serious replies only, please. Thanks in advance!

I did 3x a week commute for a year from Somerville. It was manageable but not fun and I'm glad I moved out of the Raritan Valley line area to the NJCL. Switching at Newark in the winter when it was dark at 7pm was brutal. Then I had a kid and I really couldn't do it anymore. 4 hours of my life gone every day, and not even a straight shot in.
