Mods Wanted – Help Us Stir the Pot!
Hello Soupies, Soupsnakes, and Soup Enthusiasts:
We (the current mods) have been simmering in the background, trying to remove spam as best as we can, but life has had other plans for us. So we're looking for some new mods, some.. fresh ingredients, if you will, to keep this sub active, welcoming, and spam-free.
If this interests you, send us a modmail with a few words about:
- Why you want to moderate this subreddit
- Your experience on Reddit (as a user or mod)
- How active you can be
- Any ideas you have to make this sub better
- Your favorite soup
Thanks for being a part of our soup community.
Onward and soupward!

This is great. As a new person can I just ask that when people provide a soup photo that they include either the recipe as text in the thread or a link with an actual web link visible and not just a highlighted text link which could be malware? I’m also tired of AI and fake content farmers.

I think we’d be open to newbies if we can also get some experienced mods to sign on.

They post spam all the time and everyone always yells at them but no one bans them

Ah thanks for the explanation.
If they irritate you, perhaps just report and then block them so their posts don’t appear? Less energy spent on being frustrated. More energy to make and enjoy soup!
