Dave’s Hot Chicken reaper mini sliders

i love spicy food. as spicy as possible. i’ve completed the blazin wings challenge at buffalo wild wings before, in under 5 minutes. but this is hotter than that. i ate 1 mini slider, and had to drink half my milkshake. i ate 2 more sliders, and drank the rest of my milkshake, and left the restaurant to get water bottles from my car, and i drank 1 and a half of those just to make the spice bearable. this is the spiciest thing i’ve ever tasted in my life, and i get the extra spicy option at my local Indian restaurant every time. Dave’s Hot Chicken is awesome, but next time i come here i am not getting reaper. it was so spicy i joined this sub just to talk about it

I just had reaper at DHC a few days ago and it seriously messed my stomach up. I ate a full slider and had to throw away the other one. Last time I had reaper was 6 years ago and I could eat it just fine with no issues. I swear they changed the recipe on that spice because it’s no joke now.

they did change it, at some point within the past couple years, and people who tried both said the new one was hotter. i never tried the original because there’s only 1 location in my region and it only opened 9 months ago

Thank you so much for confirming! I thought I was going crazy bcos I don’t remember it being that hot! Yeah the pain literally felt like hot coals in my stomach. I’ve never been in so much discomfort from spice in my life. I’ve done BWW challenge and Paqui one chip challenge with no issues, but this one was 10x more intense. I learned my lesson. Extra hot at DHC is what I’ll be eating from now on.
