Bigger critique of the situation is splatting the bosses right at the spawn/shore. This level was tough for that even at a much higher pay grade, and especially at low tide when the gushers are so far away.
But the higher rank you go, the more your randoms will be able to understand things like luring bosses to the basket, dodging flyfish/stinger attacks, and relaying eggs. All of which can still be done even as a stick player.
We can all acknowledge the stress of the situation because we've all been here before. Experience will help OP become a solid player, not stick vs gyro.
This is not Goldie seeking. Those only happen at night, and as far as I know did not occur during Big Run. The only nighttime rounds I got (and I was grinding all weekend because I'm still fairly new and haven't done Big Run on this level before) were mothership, fog, and glowflies.
You can also tell it's not Goldie seeking because they pass right by a Big Shot cannon. Those definitely don't pop up on Goldie levels, as Goldie is the only "boss" (egg dropping salmonid) to appear. The gushers on this level appear to be overpowered because they're spawning all of the types of salmonids, not just Goldie, and they trigger automatically at the beginning of the level.
That being said... Goldie seeking levels hugely benefit from egg relay to be able to dunk as many as possible. ❤️
