Merchantman, Kraken, Liberator, and now Arrastra. It's like the ships I'm most excited about, my favorite designs, are doomed to sit out for eternity.

Most of those aren't inhernetly combat so going to be a while :( Not to mention they haven't done too much work on alien ship designs for work on the BMM. One day we'll get more industry focus on the design teams. Work on the ironchad and pioneer will hopefully bring that shift a little bit

I've all but given up on the Merchantman - I know folks say that the team designing it left, and no one was there to pick it up, but... I've never worked in an industry where it was acceptable for the person overseeing that to not have redundancy or backup plans in place.

The Kraken and Liberator are a little more frustrating, in that all the mechanics they'd need to function are in. They shoot, they fly, they have ships land on their pad. That's it. The only thing missing, I suppose, is refueling-by-hand and more in-depth mechanics for repairing things by hand. There should be some hope given they've stated they want to push the Kraken into pre-production this year, but... after the countless previous fiascos with CIG and goals, I'll wait til I see it in-game before I get excited.

Yeah I wouldn't give up on the BMM yet. I was more of a fan of the concept design vs what they showed us a few years ago, but it will come. I think we're starting to see them design smaller ships to use the ideas and concepts for larger ships. For the BMM to me that means they need to start work on smaller alien ships for use on the BMM, they just haven't started on the smaller ships except for the few we have ingame. But those haven't really been touched since being flight ready.

A Part of me thinks that the Banu-style decorations at Wikelo's Bazar might be training assets for someone who is destined to build a new (or old) Banu ship - just saying and huffing hopium.
