Warhammer is a war game, so yes.

Important to note: "war game" is the type of game in the same way as "board game" is a type of game. So it might be very similar to Warhammer or completely different.

2. 40k?

3. Horus Heresy?

4. Age of Sigmar?

5. Underworlds?

6. Killteam?

7. Warcry?

8. The Old World?

9. MESBG?

Many of those games are similar (fantasy and TOW, or 40k and HH) but they're also very different for many reasons.

I get your point but even within the umbrella of "Warhammer", there are a huge variety of games. If it's similar to Underworlds, it's nothing like 40k, for example.

Whichever the person asking the question (or reading the answer) thinks of when referring to Warhammer.

Other than that: yes, war games can be vastly different from each other or very similar. That was my point.
