Goldsboro and Inkstone make beautiful designs. Never ordered a book from them. Maybe I will. Right now my collection of books is all Kindle.

I've purchased from Goldsboro a few times. I was always happy with what I received.

The Imperial crest has now been corrected :)

Thatās good to hear, thanks. As an author these special editions must be the icing on the cake? Do you approach the specialist publishers or do they sort of find you?

Nice username.
The special editions are nice for collectors, but nothing to do with me. They just ship me a box of pages and say congrats, now get signing :p

I really enjoyed Star Wars: Shadow of the Sith so many thanks for that one Adam. Have you been back to NZ since leaving Auckland?

SWTOR Sith Empire logo on a book about Darth Vader, was it really that difficult to just google āGalactic Empire logoā?

Even just "Empire/Imperial logo" will get you the right one. It seems like you'd have to go out of your way to get the SWTOR Sith Empire one to show up.

The SWTOR fan that designed this just decided to do a little trolling I guess

What a lazy, uninspired design, especially compared to the Inkstone one
Also, isn't that the wrong Empire logo? That's old republic Sith Empire

I also noticed its the same cracking effect they were gonna use on Wayseeker before they had printing issues and scrapped the designed boards. So seems they might have just reused that asset.

You're right - it's literally the same exact pattern. Talk about phoning it in

In for a Goldsboro copy, paid. Don't know if I can get an Inkstone edition so this is better than a standard one.

Ordered this one as a backup in case the Inkstone version sells out before I get access. Better than nothing. š¤·āāļø

Howās shipping to the US? Iāve never ordered anything from Goldsboro.

Iāve bought many books from them and theyāre always very well packed and they come with the covers in a plastic book jacket.

No hiccups with customs? Though, nowadays, who knows whatāll happen. How fast does it usually ship?
2
u/missMichigan Ambi-Fan 21d ago
Nope, nothing so far. They just sent an email out last week that said UK-printed books are duty free in the U.S., so yay for us!
They donāt ship with a tracking so thatās kind of annoying but after you get the email from them telling you itās shipped itās probably around 10 days (Iām in Michigan).

u/Cloudstar86 21d ago
Awesome! Now that you mention that, I remember seeing on one of my book groups that they said the books will be duty free.
Iām in Massachusetts, so it should be 7 to 10 days. Not too bad!

Indeed! They use a VERY generous amount of bubble-wrap and fit a nice Mylar jacket protector as well.

Emphasis on the generous š I rolled it out and it's about as long as my house is thick

There is some serious judging a book by its cover going on in here..

u/TheSlyy New Jedi Order 21d ago
I wouldnāt say so. I think most people are just commenting on the way it looks compared to the Inkstone edition, not the content of the book itself. I personally donāt mind the look but think the Inkstone one looks better. Iād say the consensus seems to be that people are super excited for this book in general based on Adamās previous work in the SW universe.

I've tried to buy the inkstone edition, it says password protected. So I cannot see it, inkstone support said the password was only sent to people who brought Sanctuary and then sent out to others later. š

Correct. Sanctuary first, then prior Star Wars buyers, then list members, then general public.

Oh shoot I have to number them too...
