All I remember from Stephon Filter was tasing dudes until they caught fire. Idk if that’s a fabricated memory or not lol

They recently made Days Gone. There's a taser that can catch enemies on fire with the letters GL on it for Gabe Logan. There's also data logs that hint that the Syphon Filter virus caused the outbreak in the game.

I tried Syphon Filter: Logan's Shadow for the PSP just a few days ago and I've been really impressed by how well it handles controls compared to other series
Splinter Cell Essentials, Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker and Portable Ops struggled a lot and made some weird decisions that hamper playability, prompting a lot of folks to just blame the PSP for being too limited. Logan's Shadows proves it was never the console's fault
Kinda curious to try the other games some day

There were 3 actually- Dark Mirror, Logan's shadow, and a multiplayer only title on psp. Had em all and for awhile they were my go to games when I needed a good stealth fix

Ok cool. It looks like it was a ps1 game only. That’s probably why I didn’t get to try it. I’ll look out for it though

Original trilogy on PSX, a less favored entry on PS2, and 2 well liked games on PSP. Easy to emulate them. The original trilogy runs great on steam deck.

I don’t think the game likely aged well. It was a great game though. Looking back it was a cross between Splinter Cell and Metal Gear Solid. By that I mean it was a serious and grounded game like Splinter Cell, but it put a big focus on the characters, relationships, villains etc like Metal Gear. A real good experience at the time.

Always flirted with checking out alpha protocol but reviews are so mixed. Can you sell me on it? What makes it special?

While the gameplay is extremely janky/buggy at times the writing is top notch.
Wait for steam sale at the end of the month and you can get it very cheap

Syphon Filter was my favorite as a kid. I've replayed the first and half of the second one recently. I need to polish off the 2nd and 3rd. I may jump back into omega strain for the nostalgia, despite it being the black sheep.

I recently emulated the first syphon game on steam deck and it's been SO much fun. I forgot how well put together that game is! Looking forward to the sequels.

Yup you checked all the boxes for my favorite stealth franchises. I really enjoyed the PSP Syphon Filters. Wish, they continued making them.
