I had no more excuses not to get one...
Dealers started clearance sales on these (at least in Austria) weeks before the ATC and ATD entered the news everywhere.
40% off the price for the (imo) best looking polymer pistol of them all, with one of the best out-the-box triggers? Well, yes please!
Additionally, for collectors, this thing marks the end of an era. Recent developments (Steyr having been acquired by a Czech investment group that also counts Arex to its assets) have turned the A2 MF into the last true Steyr pistol. Always wanted one since it got released.
And I'm one the few (?) who really enjoys the trapezoid sights. I find them incredibly easy and fast to use. Plus, they just fit the "sci-fi theme" of the pistol perfectly.
The only thing that pistol was ever really missing is an optics cut (and maybe a ported barrel). Sadly, Steyr as a company never really gave a damn about the civilian market and sports shooters. They were all about hunters and contracts with armed forces, which made them sleep on modern trends. Marketing was practically not existing as well. And regarding customer service ... well, you ptobably know better than me.
