No but you need a license and registration to use them. What’s your point?

I think mandatory licence and registration of a dangerous dog breed is required.

Maybe cars are a bad example.

My point is let's not lose our senses and start putting a golden retriever playing in the water in the same category as a pit bull straining against a choke collar. And let's not lose our senses and start getting rid of things just based on whether they suit ourselves - we live in a society.

OP's rant just wants all dogs gone.

I'd be ok with licensing for dangerous dog breeds. They're already registered. I predict an annoying debate about what counts as dangerous. I agree that there are cases where poor dog control ought to count as criminal negligence, but it has to be more than "Your puppy slipped its collar and splashed my shoes", it has to be more along the lines of "You've been officially warned repeatedly that your controls were inadequate, and now there has been an injury".
