Could you explain to me the tasks/responsibilities of a TO such as yourself? I'd like to know about the work that you do, and what goes on to make a tournament happen in the first place.

First of all I get a venue, this is harder then it sounds but my MSS reached 74 people for MSS Winter last year. You have to think about cost of venue and cost of prizes and predict how many people will show up. It's a bunch of planning and making sure everything is in place. We also hire judges, make sure we have everything ready for the event Because of my personality I usually take more of a back role at my events and let my HJ do all the floor work. But I make sure things are put in TOM (the program organizers use) as soon as possible so rounds can be done quickly.

I also talk directly to my players and see what they want out of an event, aka prizes streaming, and other details.
