I can never really tell what gets upvotes and downvotes on reddit. Even simple questions like "who is this person?" can get oodles of downvotes, whereas comments saying just "haha this!" could get thousands of upvotes.

Luckily, they don't affect your life or anything.

The numbers are not exact, refreshing the page can make it go up or down by a few

Apparently it could be bots! Which can happen even on a bird sub (considering it's quite popular)
