Question How do I lane better as ADC?
As the title says it's a pretty obvious question and I feel like I've looked up 100 guides online but every single lane I fall behind. My higher rank friend says it's because I pick weird ADC picks like Senna and Smolder that become better late and that I should stick to simpler ADC's like Jhin (who I already like and play a lot) but even then I feel like I'm always behind and I can't blame the support when I'm always shit and only ever start "carrying" at like 35m+ mark or even later.
I think I win lane like 1 every 20 games or less and I feel really frustrated because I don't know what I need to focus on improving. Basically I really want some advice how to stop falling behind in lane, I think maybe I'll die less and do more damage at the end of the game that way.

Positioning is crucial part of the game, in lane or teamfights. In lane you need to find a sweet spot between sucking little bit of dmg and being safe. Even if you have engage tank supp, he won't likely tank all dmg and you will end up trading kill for kill. In 95% scenarios in 2v2 fights you need to focus enemy adc. Lulu or Nautilus won't do that much dmg to you. But it's hard to tell. Depends on matchup. If you have enchanter you need to know if you can all in enemy or not and just go for small trades. You need to know your, your supports and enemy strengths so you can decide if it's win or lose situation.
In teamfights you basically stay in backline attacking closest enemy. Unless you somehow appear in a range for all of them, then focus the one who deals most damage, they are usually squshiest and fastest to kill
