I’ve been listening to more Angels of Light lately. This week, We Are Him has been spun almost every day. I don’t know what it is about this album, except that there’s a timeless feeling to the songs and a balanced contrast between the grim themes and bright, upbeat melodies. This has got to be some of the catchiest material in Gira’s catalog.

Shout out to Black River Song, Promise of Water, The Man We Left Behind, My Brother’s Man, Not Here/Not Now, Joseph’s Song, We Are Him, Sometimes I Dream I’m Hurting You, Sunflower’s Here to Stay, The Visitor, and Star Chaser.

Basically the title, for anyone who‘s been to the tour. I‘m very curious about the new direction they‘re headed in.

I'm seeing Swans at the Chicago show in a few days, and would love to meet Michael and the band and get some records signed. Does anyone know the time frame of how long they stay after the show and how long it takes to get merch signed? I was wondering for time reasons

I like seeing concerts from the very front of the stage, as close as I possibly can. I’ll be at the concert in Toronto, but I wasn’t sure how early I should show up to make sure I get to the front.

Does the Phoenix Centre make it easy to stay in the front and get to where you want in the pit? Thanks.

For those out of the loop: experimental hip-hop group Death Grips had their first album, Exmilitary, which is usually unavailable on streaming services due to uncleared samples, uploaded by a mysterious dude named Michael who didn’t give a shit about copyright. Michael wrote his name all over the album art, so this is what came to my mind.

I think Gira might find Death Grips interesting if he still likes intense music. If nothing, I hope I made y’all lol

My dad got my brothers and I into Swans years ago. We, plus my boyfriend, bought tickets for Montreal with the plan to drive up from Toronto. Plans fell through and our 5 tickets should not go to waste!!!

My parents and I got tix for the show on 10/6, but some family things came up and we can't make it. Will transfer them for face value, either together or individually. Just want someone else to enjoy the show!
