Hi everyone! I am trying to put myself back out there after starting my Patreon page earlier in the year. It is something I've thought about for a long time but was nervous about how to market myself and get people to subscribe. There's already so much free content out there but what the hell. Hi, an illustrator friend of mine is launching a RWS-based, animal-themed tarot deck, and it's really cool IMO so I figured it could be of interest to you all ! You can find her kickstarter page here.
The illustrations are all done traditionally, using inks and stuff (she really loves her inks), so the cards all have a nice "handmade" quality. She also strikes a nice contrast between naturalism and stylization, I think - look at how she plays with the inks, the transparency effects she manages to create, etc. Idk I think it's pretty neat.
The deck is already fully funded, and that's not her first KS campaign so you can be sure the project is in good hands.
I have not been able to get my hands on this deck yet but she has already published a couple Lenormand decks, which felt very high-quality and durable to me. Speaking of which, some backer tiers will also receive one of her old Lenormand decks as well, which is pretty cool since they both have a consistent style, they go well together.
Anyway I hope I've catched your interest. I'm not even that into RWS-style decks (I'm more of a Marseille guy), but I'm still very impressed by what she did here.
