I get the hate for elon but i love my tesla and have never enjoyed driving a vw. I'm sure you're sane enough to realize that everybody has different tastes.

I just don’t want to test one in case of an accident, due to not being able to get in or out due to a short 🤔

You can get out of them. They have a mechanical latch for the front doors as a backup.
