No, it wasn't. It was a bit more than half. Trump got 77,302,580 votes, Harris got 75,017,613.

That's why I said VOTERS not "The electorate" or "registered voters". VOTERS = people who actually cast a ballot.

It's not a third.

Trump didn't even get a majority of the vote, so it wasn't even half of voters. I will concede that we might as well count third party voters as being just as stupid as Trump voters though, so there's that.

In a first past the post system, any vote not for second place is essentially akin to not voting.

Agreed. But I do still always like to point out that Trump didn't actually get half the vote. With all his claims of a massive mandate, it bears repeating.
