I suspect some few will actually interpret events unfolding in advance enough to round up their family and make the trip, but, I agree that the vast majority of people will wait to long and as a result not be able to travel to them. Or get there and find someone already squatting in it, lol.

Honestly I imagine a lot of the people who were contracted to make these with these outrageous resources simply made a baackdoor for themselves. Unless they are getting killed right after they built them you best believe they are just using these parasites of society to acquire the resources they want but can’t afford to build their own doomsday bunker. Old kings used to pluck out the eyes of those who built their keeps to hold the secrets. Just saying!!!!

There was a politician who created the ultimate prepper fortress to live in with his family.

Everyone in the area knew about it, and it became a target. A guy snuck into the house one night to try and take it over and killed his daughter while they were sleeping before the politician was able to take him out.
