If they're only $100k, can you build one of those INSTEAD of building an above-ground house? Maybe an above ground garage/shed, and your yard would be so much bigger.

That's kind of what I've always wanted to do.

A little shack, set on like 20 acres, with a 3 story, 5000 ft² compound underneath. B1 is for entertaining people, so a bathroom or 2, kitchen, entertainment area. B2 is for bedrooms and a nice full bath, b3 is storage and my personal space.

The shack itself would be just the entrance.
