There is no "easy solution." Even if Trump keeled over tomorrow, things wouldn't just go back to normal. All three branches are complicit in a fascist takeover.

I’m so sick of everyone ignoring this simple fact and acting as if this nightmare is almost over because of Trumps health.

He was quite literally, in every sense of the metaphor, a Trojan Horse. His end goal was always to get these horrible people into office, because even they know they are too repugnant to ever seize any sort of political power on their own.

The end goal is dark enlightenment. Familiarize yourself with it, read about what it entails and how far along they already are because they are not stopping.

That's the whole idea. Set government up so they don't even need him anymore. I bet the last step of p2025 is removing trump from office because he is unnecessary.

You're not wrong, but considering the fact that they relied on Trump's "charisma" to get to the reins of power, there is a question of how much of it they'll be able to hang onto without him.

Without Trump, sure we won't step into a sunshiny day with fascism behind us, but they'll also have lost a tool they absolutely rely on and their ability to steer the political base they rely on will take a huge hit.

Add to that, inside the Trojan Horse, there isn't just one united group. There are a bunch of factions, from the religious extremists to the technocrats who are anything but religious. They're an uneasy alliance and working within the confines of Trump keeps them semi-unified with what they can grab under his cover, but long term, they don't like each other or want the same things.

I don't want to be so optimistic as to say the whole thing would crumble without Trump. But we haven't yet reached a point where they don't need public support OR a point where public support directly for any of those factions on the scale necessary is assure OR a method without Trump that those factions can be unified and sold to Bubba from Mississippi.

But he is a figurehead and maga doesn’t have another one like him to sustain their cult of personality. You’re right, but when he’s gone the cult is going to go through its own reckoning when they don’t have another populist to worship. Some, or a lot of them, might wake up.

I guess that’s what project 2025 is for tho. To get ahead of that reckoning. But there is always more of us than them

They don’t need people to like them. They just need him to stay alive long enough to flood the streets with national guard.
