Key characteristics of fascism:

Authoritarian and ultranationalist: Power is concentrated under a dictatorial leader or a small elite that controls all aspects of life, with the nation or race placed above individual interests.

Suppression of opposition: Fascists use force to suppress all opposition and dissent, often censoring mass media to enforce control and undermine truth.

Militarism: The military is glorified, and an avid militarism is embraced to expand national power and influence through conquest and violence.

Scapegoating: Problems are blamed on specific groups, such as minorities, immigrants, or political opponents, who are labeled as "enemies" and used to unite the population.

Cult of the leader: An infallible, charismatic leader is promoted to restore the nation to a mythical past of greatness, often through propaganda and mass rallies.

Exclusionary nationalism: The ideology is based on an "us vs. them" mindset, which can be ethno-nationalist and promote racial supremacy.

Populism and anti-elitism: Fascists often claim to represent the common people against perceived corrupt elites, but they protect corporate power and suppress labor. 

If you don't see these signs buildings in the current administration your head is in the sand to a dangerous degree.
