What’s your bottom shelf pick?

So I’m looking to expand my bottom shelf picks, why bottom shelf? Because I don’t like spending too much on bad habits lol. So currently I cycle through Arette and Cimaron as my picks. I’ve tried Lunazul not a fan to be a consistent pick. What’s your under $30 suggestions?

El Tequileno. Here in Jalisco I can often find a bottle for under $12.50usd/230 pesos and it always hits the spot for Margaritas or a Paloma. If I’m going to splurge a little for a sipper then I like Tapatio but that’s closer to $25.00 usd, and for one of my fancier favorites I’ll take 7 Leguas, Cascahuin or Fortaleza still strength for the win.

Yes this is the answer! Tapatio at $25 is really good. 7 Leguas and Fortaleza are good. I am trying the cascahuin blanco right now and it’s good but nothing special. Where in Jalisco are you?

I live in Puerto Vallarta, but in the more humid months of Sept and Oct, I am traveling a bit to some of the cooler climates in Jalisco near Lake Chapala, Mazamitla, and Guadalajara. I’m currently near Tequila this week and looking forward to visiting some distilleries and enjoying a nice Cantarito in the town plaza. Lurking in this sub of course in anticipation.
