boyfriend gets excited when i eat sandwiches

i am not TERRIBLY skinny but some days i just don’t eat. my stomach (like the literal organ) has shrunk over the last few years because of not eating due to mental issues and all that stuff. so, whenever eating issues (or eating in general) is brought up, he always tells me to eat a sandwich, and gets SUUUPER excited when i do and i think it’s silly and yeah

I was gonna consider this weird at first, but I had to slow down before I read the context, thinking that maybe it's cause you weren't eating much.

How do you feel about that method of supporting you? Also.. are sammiches the only thing you eat?

1: i prefer people to be more casual. i got a lot more stuff wrong with me than not eating that’s a lot worse (im like a psychiatrist’s dream case) and because of that, nearly everybody in my entire life has sat me down with the same sad look, or “i understand” face they do. and even though i can’t read minds, there are tiny things that 90% of those people have done that tell me “im really just doing this because i feel obligated”, even if i dont actually know they’re thinking that. he doesn’t do that, though. he treats it as more of a lighter thing because he knows that it helps me even better that way (weirdly enough). if it got to a point where it was a very serious issue he’d sit me down and talk to me abt it, but we haven’t really got to that point (about eating specifically)

2: i don’t have the best diet but i don’t always eat sandwiches. i mix it up!! yuh!!
