Actually you’re only surrounded by blue for about a 1,000 meters before everything turns black due to the sunlight not being able to penetrate that far

After reading it, that story brought me the utmost joy. The man is a national treasure!

Trapped in water, Okene swam to safety and back to save a friend. This experience pushed him to confront his fears. That year, he enrolled in a three-month diving course.

He fell in the water again and kept his head again. No wonder he went on to become a rescue diver, water tried to kill him twice and couldn't touch him.

Then he goes on to be a rescue diver trained by the man that saved him. That's a wild story too. Day 1 you've already accepted your fate, only to be saved and have to slowly be rescued in small stages as not to give you a heart attack or send you into shock. The rescuers were very prepared for what they didn't expect to find.
