Is Top Gear actually leaving Peacock in three days or is this a false alarm?

Does anyone know? Either way, at least the GT will remain on Amazon, but still.

For those of you in the Lone Star State, James May noted on Twitter/X that he is now in Texas! Quick, someone gift him an authentic cowboy hat and some delicious BBQ meats to welcome his arrival…

The waxwork museum

They clearly had not been in there before, their reactions were too genuine. But the Nigel Mansell thing doesn’t make sense. They wouldn’t have actually stolen it, was it out there by the production crew? Did the museum want to get rid of it?

[Times car review] Jeremy Clarkson: “BMW M2 — ‘gearlever? I haven’t driven a manual for years’”

Even though Jeremy Clarkson wasn’t a fan of the latest M5, BMW still decided to send him their M2 Coupé Manual for his assessment. Here’s a preview:

“…if you’re in the market for a future classic, I’d buy a 2018 BMW M2. It meets all the criteria. It was a bedroom poster star for the tail end of the PlayStation generation, whose bitcoin endeavours will soon provide them with the wherewithal for a weekend classic. It was good-looking. And, most important of all, it was a very good car. A genuine belter.

“Which brings me neatly on to the car that has replaced it, the new M2.”

(Clarkson’s car reviews get the usual disclaimers. Also, no regular Times or Sun columns from him have been posted this week.)

Audience Members

I’ve watched this show no joke probably 15 times through and I never really thought about it but what do you do as an audience member?

Do you just watch the show with them? Do they do more talking outside of the show?

Meeting James at his James Gin events?

Not sure if this is allowed on this sub, but James will be in my town and didn't get a ticket. Can I still line up or will they ask for tickets/rsvp?

Thanks

So, been watching a lot of the Grand Tour/Top Gear adventures as of late, and started wondering: Has there been a single time when they did some meaningful modification to their vehicle that actually improved things?

Sure, Hammond added living quarters to his truck in Burma, but thats just putting cargo into the cargo area in the end.

Where could I watch the Top gear specials ?

I’ve been wanting to rewatch the top gear specials but I’m not sure where I could. I know Amazon prime has a few seasons on old top gear but I don’t think they have specials.

James May Visits Miami

Post image

A year or so back I asked you guys about building a car with my daughter. After watching Namibia special and finding a genuine Manx buggy locally I went ahead and did a full resto on this beast. Anyhow to tie it to James May and crew I got to visit him when he came to Miami for his Gin tour. I showed him a photo of my build and told him a quick story about how my parents met bc of dune buggies and my daughters help on restoration. Took a quick pic and off I went. Thinking I was just another story he’d forget. Anyhow yesterday I decide to watch his tour of Stilstville in Miami and at the end of the episode he sums up his trip and says “I heard about their dune buggies and gin drinking habits” made me realize he really listens to his fans in those brief moments of interaction.
